The End of The Trail
The End of the Trail of the American Indian
The sun sets on the Western Plains
With the tragic collision of two civilizations
Left the outnumbered to pass in such pain
The End of the Trail the sculpture's rendition
Captures this moment in time
The artist portrays a great conquered nation
To honor the last of its kind
Yet the Great Spirit looks down at the End of the Trail
The same as you or I
He alone is the source behind such inspiration
It was he who placed it in the artist eye
Praise to the Great Spirit His children he knows well
He will ride beside them to the end
Do not be deceived it is only a sculpture
His people he will rise up again
